Sunday, December 2, 2018 – George H. W. Bush – A Story and Photos
This morning I went to the George H. W. Bush Museum and Library. It is already a very busy day there. Security already has a presence. There are landscapers at every piece of grass and ground. The media is already staging.
Here is a story from Aggieland about President 41 and some photos from the Library today.
The staff at the George H. W. Bush Library were informed in October the about the former president’s failing health. They were told to begin to execute the pre-planned protocols. The spokespersons representing the family and the library were in constant contact.
Then it was Thanksgiving week ending with the football game between Texas A&M and LSU. The family and the library began to panic. What if President Bush passes during this time? The logistics would be a nightmare. What if the game had to be canceled?
As you recall (or would like to forget if you are LSU) the game was a history making football game. Allegedly, after the game, the Bush spokesperson called the library and said “We made it. He is such an Aggie!”
President George H. W. Bush and Barbara Bush did love College Station, Bryan and the Aggies. And College Station, Bryan and the Aggies loved the Bushes.
Rest in Peace.

Flags at half staff.
My favorite. So much history in this photograph.
I hope you enjoyed the photoes. Hey, Dan Quayle was GHWB’s Vice President.
Yes, I did! Later alligator!
Not a great president but a really good person. Hope you caught Marshall Ramsey’s cartoon…it’s a great one.
