Tuesday, July 31 – Bye Bye Miss American Pie
If there was ever a Chevy to be driven to the levee it would be one like this one.
I was on my way to the grocery store and this classic was in front of me. I was indeed blessed with the luck of the Irish as the car turned into the grocery store lot.
Upon parking a lovely couple got out. I parked nearby and walked over. I asked if I could take a picture of the car. The man went on to say “We got it when we got married in 1957. Bought it brand new off the showroom floor. It is the only car we have ever had. We have been to 48 of the 50 states and it has over 250,000 miles on it.”
I know. I was speechless too. I bet the couple have miles and miles of stories about their travels and their 1957 Chevy.
